Exhausted yet?

You’ve probably noticed something about the Trump administration: They’re really good at flooding the zone with bad news.

Just look at this parade of horrors:

  • Redefining birthright citizenship under the 14th Amendment. Because why not just rewrite the Constitution?
  • Withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement and the WHO. Who needs clean air and global health, anyway?
  • Making it harder to enroll in Medicaid and lower prescription drug prices. Because affordable health care is just too generous, apparently. 

It’s an endless stream of awful s&#! that leaves us reeling.

That’s the point. Trump and Republicans want us to feel overwhelmed. They want us to believe that there’s too much to fight and that resistance is futile.

But here’s the thing — it’s not futile.

Trump and his administration would love nothing more than for us to throw in the towel. 

At Midwest Values PAC, we’re not throwing in the towel. Your support helps us support progressive candidates and causes and fight for the values we care about: fairness, justice, and opportunity for all.

And guess what — we have an all-important end-of-month deadline tomorrow!

So, don’t just sit there. Do whatever you can to make yourself feel better and restore some hope.

Somehow, it’s been 20 years since I started Midwest Values PAC to help Democrats win elections — from progressive organizations to state legislatures to Congress to the White House — who share the values I grew up with in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.

Since 2006, Midwest Values PAC has invested more than $4 million in 341 candidates and organizations — and counting.

As we mark our 20th anniversary, the work is more urgent than ever. This year, we have a big job: flip the House, take the Senate, and win up and down the ballot at the state and local level.

To mark our 20th year, we’ve set an ambitious goal: 26,000 contributions by Election Day 2026.
