Well, it’s the end of the month, which means you’re getting an end-of-the-month email from me.

But this isn’t just any end-of-the-month email. Because in this one, I’m going to tell you what Midwest Values PAC has been doing with all the generous support we’ve been getting from folks like you. (Unless you haven’t given to MVP until right now.)

We’ve supported candidates like Sen. Jon Tester, who is in an incredibly tough race in Montana. We gave to the Kentucky Democratic Party to help Gov. Andy Beshear get re-elected in a very red state! And to Rep. Colin Allred who’s running against my old nemesis, Ted Cruz.

Of course, we’ve given to the Minnesota Democratic Party, and once again, to Tech for Campaigns — which helps state legislature candidates set up their digital campaigns. You may remember that Midwest Values PAC helped flip the state Senate last cycle, which led to an incredible number of accomplishments in my home state, including protecting the right to an abortion, free breakfast and lunch for all K-12 students, and paid family and medical leave.

We’ve also given to my former judiciary counsel, Josh Riley, who is running for Congress in New York’s 19th, which he came a hair’s breadth from winning last cycle. He’s running again against a very vulnerable first-term incumbent, Marc Molinaro, who ran as a moderate but voted for Rep. Jim Jordan and Rep. Mike Johnson for Speaker of the House.

And a lot more!

It’s important that we have the resources going into next year to help candidates and ground operations for Democrats all over the country, including President Biden.

Thanks,

Al

P.S. As you know, last cycle we gave or helped raise well over $100,000 for Unite Here, the hospitality workers, who were on the ground in the key battleground states of Pennsylvania, Nevada, Arizona, and Georgia. Help us exceed that this year!

Somehow, it’s been 20 years since I started Midwest Values PAC to help Democrats win elections — from progressive organizations to state legislatures to Congress to the White House — who share the values I grew up with in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.

Since 2006, Midwest Values PAC has invested more than $4 million in 341 candidates and organizations — and counting.

Of course, none of this happens without you (or supporters like you) who care enough to pitch in.

As we mark our 20th anniversary, the work is more urgent than ever. This year, we have a big job: flip the House, take the Senate, and win up and down the ballot at the state and local level.

To mark our 20th year, we’ve set an ambitious goal: 26,000 contributions by Election Day 2026.

Thanks for being part of this fight, and for sticking with us for 20 years (or for just joining — welcome!).

Al

P.S. Over the years, okay, decades, we’ve helped Democrats win tough races all across the country by investing early, intelligently, and strategically. That’s how you flip seats. That’s how you protect democracy. And that’s how you stop the worst impulses of a president who never should have been president in the first place.
