I suspect that you’ve been getting your share of urgent “end-of-quarter” emails. That’s because it’s just about the end of the quarter. And sometimes folks like you receive dire messages, like, “We’re short $12,783 to meet our goal for the quarter!”
Sometimes those numbers are just made up out of whole cloth. For example, I can tell you that Midwest Values PAC is $9,819 short of our quarterly goal, because I didn’t pick our goal until right this minute.
But you can’t send Midwest Values PAC $9,819. A $5,000 contribution is the maximum. If two of you send us $5,000, we will exceed our quarterly goal by $181!
The point is simple. The more in the door, the more we can give out. I’ve told you many times where our money goes and the successes we’ve had over the years helping Democrats and other progressives win all around the country.
Oops! A $25 donation just came in so we’re just $9,794 under our goal! And wouldn’t you know it! Another one came in for $35.
Well, I better finish up the letter!
